The third working wherein I turn my bones into natural magic talismans.
The Plan
I decided to turn my Venusian bone into a Stone of Inspiration. Something I could hold to spark my imagination or when I needed some extra energy to start or finish a project. The plan was fairly simple. I hit the trail and collected early spring blooms that I found inspiring. I pressed the flowers for a few days between a sheet of paper, then set the stone in the center of the dried blooms. I treated the paper like a card to the universe and decorated it with Venusian seals and greek letters from Book I of Agrippa. The result gave me the impression of ideas floating in the firmament waiting to be plucked.
The Spell
Unlike the previous workings, most of the "direction" for this spell happened while collecting flowers and decorating the card. The charm below includes epithets taken directly from the Orphic Hymn to Aphrodite with a little bit of alchemical poetry towards the end. Again, the three stanza format consists of a conjuration, invocation, and statement of intent. When speaking the final sentence, I place my hands on the seal and guide the energies from the characters and flowers into the stone. I leave the stone until a stick of incense has finished burning.
The Result
Like the other talismans, this one became heavier after the operation. It reminded me of holding a water skin or bladder. It just so happened, that I did need some extra inspiration to finish a work project. I held the stone in my hand and concentrated while repeating the charm above. The effect was typically Venusian. I spent a few minutes being distracted by everything, but once I got back to my desk I finished the project in record time. It will be fun to experiment with this talisman in other venues.
